Digital Art

So it's been a long time since I've posted any paintings and the reason is.....I've been so busy with my new blog and new hobby. I'm designing digital scrapbook elements and papers. It combines my love for scrapbooking and my love for art all in one. I still want to keep up on my painting, but for right now I'm having way too much fun drawing, scanning, taking pictures, and designing on the computer. If you want to check out what I've been up to you can visit my new blog ScrapbyColor.

"Learn to walk in His way"

I completed this in May 2008. It is acrylic and it is 30 x 40 inches.
Learning how to walk is such an exciting experience for a child and a parent. I’ve rediscovered this with each of my children. This is a painting of my son, Nathan, but it could represent any child walking into the arms of Christ. We are each instructed to “become as a little child” (3 Nephi 11:38) so we can imagine Christ’s excitement as we learn to follow Him and as we try to become more like Him. “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth” (3 John 1:4).
